A culture of disrespect is growing up alongside our children, following them into the playgrounds, schools and streets where they live. Poor media habits have been a major influence on this culture of disrespect. But disrespect is not the only effect of poor media habits. Research shows they can affect literacy skills and decrease academic performance as well. We will explore further the power of the media and the influence it is having on our children and on us.
