This program can be a classroom workshop, a series of workshops or a weeklong residency. Mike teaches a method of applying oral-based storytelling principles to facilitate creative writing.
Creative writing is much more about creating than writing. Research shows that the mechanical act of writing is the single greatest impediment to creativity. This workshop will lead the students through the process of story creation and prepare them to produce the end product: the written story.
